When should I reach out?

If you’re pregnant and looking for birth support, your second trimester is the sweet spot - it gives us time to get to know each other before the intensity of the third trimester sets in.
For postpartum support, your last trimester is a great time to start the conversation. And if you’re already a new parent in the thick of it - needing an overnight so you can sleep, lactation support, or care for a mother who’s running on empty - please reach out, whenever you’re reading this.
It’s never too early to book - some reasons fill up quickly, and early birds get first pick of dates. And it’s never too late to ask, either - cancellations happen, and I’m sometimes able to step in last-minute.
What happens after I reach out?

Once you fill out the contact form, email, or message me directly, I’ll get back to you quickly to set up a free, no-pressure consultation over a video conference at a time that works for you.
If I’m available for your due date or the support you’re looking for, I’ll send over a contract to make things official. From that point on, you have text, email, and phone support with me. Starting at 38 weeks of pregnancy, I’m on call for you 24/7 - through labour, the first hours after your baby arrives, and into postpartum.
Can we meet before I decide anything?

Yes, always - and it’s free. Our first conversation is a free consultation over FaceTime, Zoom, WhatsApp, or phone, whichever feels easiest for you. It’s a chance for both of us to make sure it’s the right fit, with zero pressure either way.
What if I’m not sure a doula is even what I need?

That’s exactly what the consultation is for. Bring your questions, your uncertainty, all of it - we’ll talk it through together
Do you support all types of birth?

Yes - home birth, hospital birth, birthing centre, all of it. And if your birth takes an unexpected turn - a transfer, an induction, a caesarean - I’m still right there with you. My support isn’t conditional on things going a certain way.
What areas do you serve?

The greater Ottawa area - roughly from Almonte in the west, Greely in the south, Rockland in the east, and Gatineau in the north. Just outside those lines? Reach out anyway, and let’s talk.
What if you’re not available when I go into labour?

I work alongside a small circle of doulas I trust deeply, and you’ll meet and approve your backup ahead of time. So if I’m ever unavailable, you’re still held by someone familiar - never a stranger.
Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Monthly payments are welcome, provided the full amount is settled before your birth.
